This is the template that we suggest you copy down so when your trainee calls you can just fill in the blanks. Please prepare yourself mentally for the call as there is not time to chat, and your trainee may seem very stressed or emotional. Rest assured it does get better and we’re here to help. Although most addresses will be TRS/FLT only, there are still some that have dorm and unit numbers.

Here are 2 examples of what the address format looks like:

AB Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial
_ _ _TRS/FLT _ _ _
1320 Truemper Street
JBSA Lackland, TX 78236-6407

OR

AB Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial
_ _ _ TRS/FLT _ _ _ (Dorm#_ _ _)
1320 Truemper Street, Unit 36_ _ _ _
JBSA Lackland, TX 78236-6407

  • The San Antonio area code is 210, but while your trainee is in BMT answer all calls no matter what the area code just to be safe.
  • If you think you may miss a call, leave a voice message just for your trainee with words of love and encouragement, and directing them who to call next.
  • Don’t worry!  The PSC (Postal Service Center) is great at getting the mail to the trainees even if the address changes.
  • You will need to wait for the initial phone call or the first letter the Trainee will mail home.  You cannot call the base and get it over the phone for security reasons.

Once your trainee arrives and you receive the address info please head over to our AFWM Facebook page and find your discussion group. We periodically make a post with all the TRS DG links and invite you to comment there if you are waiting to be approved.  You are usually approved within 48 hours of your request to join.
